Lindsay Renolds (Can) – First Round 66 (-6)
It was a good day. I hit my driver and irons well. Everything was good. Today was the first round and I played the best I could.
I played a quick 18 holes on Tuesday but it was very wet. It wasn’t my typical practice round because it was raining. I was just trying to get the round over with because I didn’t have an umbrella!
It is always an advantage seeing the course at least once. This is a generous course. The par-threes are the defence on this course. I don’t have one single highlight, my proximity to the hole was good all day.

I’m in the mindset of being in the off-season. I’m doing what I can to prepare for next year. It is a case of winning or going back to Qualifying School for me this week. I got nothing to lose this week. I’m trying to stay motivated and focussed for next year.
Jeunghun Wang (Kor) – First Round 67 (-5)
The course is wet so it is playing long. I holed some long birdies putts which was nice. I only played nine holes (back nine) during the practice round. I was so afraid when I played on the front nine especially on the last hole. It was a dog leg left so I just played it safe and missed a short birdie putt.
Gaganjeet Bhullar (Ind) – First Round 67 (-5)
I played well. Around the turn it was slightly difficult when it got breezy. I hit a lot of greens in regulation and putted well. I only had one three putt on the back nine. I feel good because the golf course suits my style.
I didn’t play a practice round. I just walked a few holes and that’s about it. I didn’t do anything on Wednesday and Thursday and was really eager to get out there and hit some good shots.
Miguel Tabuena (Phi) – First Round 67 (-5)
I can’t complain with my score considering my condition (struggled with flu and high fever earlier in the week). I’m feeling much better which is good. I was very lucky play was called off yesterday because I got an extra rest day. I made most out of it.
I didn’t start off too well when I bogeyed the first hole. I’m feeling good going into the last two days. I won by nine shots (22-under) earlier this year on the local circuit so I’m confident playing here. I left a couple out there so hopefully I can hole more putts tomorrow.

It was a good start. I’m very happy with how I started. It is an important week for me. I need to make some money to keep my Asian Tour card (ranked 62nd and needs finish inside top 63 on Order of Merit).
I made some good par saves on the par threes and that helped with my confidence. I have big pressure because I know I need to have a good result this week. I must stay patient and I hope I can continue to play good.
Juvic Pagunsan (Phi) – First Round 68 (-4)
It was tough because it was my first time playing here. It was difficult to find the breaks on the greens. I didn’t play a practice round this week. I struggled a bit but my game is in good shape. I’m happy with the result. I really had to fight for my score.
