Bangkok, January 10: Phothalai Leisure Park, Thailand’s newest place for golf, business and leisure, has become the latest property to join the Asian Tour’s exclusive network of Asian Tour Destinations.
A mega-project on a scale never seen before in Thailand, Phothalai Leisure Park is located on the outskirts of the capital city of Bangkok, some 30 minutes by road. It offers guests and members a wide range of top-class facilities including meeting and convention centres, fine dining, spa and wellness and a formula one race centre like no other.
The Phothalai Golf Park also boasts a beautifully landscaped 250-yard driving range along with the most amazing and truly unique Short Game Arena that features four full sized greens surrounded by nature.
As part of its association with the region’s premier Tour, an Asian Tour representative office will also be opened at the Phothalai Golf Park. Players, staff members and officials from the Asian Tour will have access to the full range of facilities available at Phothalai Leisure Park from this year onwards.
Phothalai Leisure Park’s Managing Director, Viriya Suttabongoch is delighted to have its identity closely aligned with the Asian Tour and is confident its latest stature as an Asian Tour Destination will further raise its profile as the business and leisure place of choice in Thailand and the region.
“We’re delighted to become an Asian Tour Destination as the Asian Tour brand name is synonymous with professional golf at the highest level across Asia. With our identities closely aligned, we’re proud to showcase our property and facilities which promise to take our guests’ experience to another level,” said Viriya.
“We have taken every effort to create a unique concept for Phothalai Leisure Park which will allow our guests and members to enjoy the finest golfing facilities which will also cater towards business and leisure. We believe that golfers would like to mix business with pleasure and Phothalai Leisure Park will be the ideal destination to meet these requirements,” added Viriya.
Asian Tour’s Chief Executive Officer Mike Kerr said the newest partnership for Asian Tour Destination was another strong endorsement of the Asian Tour brand by corporate Asia. He is looking forward to a long-term partnership with Phothalai Leisure Park.
“We are pleased to welcome Phothalai Leisure Park into our exclusive network of Asian Tour Destinations and we look forward to the mutual benefits that this partnership will bring.
“Phothalai Leisure Park’s commitment towards this relationship also underscores the brand name that the Asian Tour holds as the region’s premier Tour. Our players will enjoy the opportunity and access to top-class practice facilities at Phothalai Leisure Park which I’m sure will benefit their game and skill,” said Kerr.
