Prayad wins again in Japan

October 10: Thailand's Prayad Marksaeng picked up his fourth Japan Senior Tour title after emerging triumphant at the 55th PGA Senior Championship on Sunday.

The 50-year-old was a figure of consistency throughout the week at the Summit Golf Club in Ibaraki.

Heading into the final round with a six-shot advantage, Prayad's lead was never threatened as he closed with a three-under-par 69 to finish eight shots ahead of England's Barry Lane with his four-day total of 20-under-par 268.

Prayad, a nine-time Asian Tour winner, is making his debut season on the senior Tour in Japan and is currently leading the Order of Merit following his latest win in the Land of the Rising Sun.

Fellow Thai veteran, Boonchu Ruangkit meanwhile finished tied for 52 after signing off with a 292 total.
