July 27: Prayad Marksaeng of Thailand sealed his fifth title in Japan after shooting a nine-under-par 63 at the Fukushima Open on Sunday.
The nine-time Asian Tour winner was flawless as he returned with nine birdies to secure a dramatic win with an impressive 24-under-par 264 total.
Trailing the overnight Younghan Song by two shots at the start of the final round, Prayad was hot off the blocks when he birdied four holes in his opening seven holes before returning with five birdies to defeat the Korean by one shot at the Nasushirakawa Golf Club.
At the age of 49, Prayad continues to defy father time as he also won at the Queen's Cup on home soil on the Asian Tour in June.
Ends.
