September 14: Thailand’s Prom Meesawat shot a second round even-par 70 to tie at 28th place at the KLM Open in Zandvoort, Netherlands on Thursday.
The 29-year-old, who totalled three-under-par 137, trails the leader Miguel Angel Jimenez of Spain by six shots at the Kennemer Golf and Country Club.
The Thai is tied with 13 other players including Rikard Karlberg of Sweden, who is a two-time Asian Tour winner, and China’s Wu Ashun.
South African Jbe Kruger, China’s Liang Wen-chong, the 2007 Asian Tour Order of Merit winner and Indian duo S.S.P. Chowrasia and Jeev Milkha Singh missed the cut after returning with rounds of 70, 70, 69 and 71 respectively.
Meanwhile former Asian Tour member, Bae Sang-moon of Korea, shot a second round even-par 71 to tie at 24th place while American Jim Furyk became only the sixth person in US PGA Tour history to card a 59 as he joined compatriot Brandt Snedeker in a share of the lead at the BMW Championship in Illinois.
