Manila, November 16:  Three-time Asian Tour winner Angelo Que of the Philippines remained upbeat of his chances despite carding a third round two-over-par 72  to trail China’s Liang Wen-chong by four shots at the inaugural US$750,000 Resorts World Manila Masters on Saturday.
The overnight co-leader, who marked his card with two birdies, two bogeys and one double bogey, is tied in eighth place alongside nine players that include Thailand’s Prom Meesawat, at the Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club.
Despite a four-shot deficit, Que is confident of turning his game around and secure another victory on home soil at the Resorts World Manila Masters tomorrow.
“My round was not too bad today actually. I am just not making any putts. I think I missed about six to seven putts today. They were all good putts but the ball was just not going in,” said Que, after compiling a three-day total of nine-under-par 207.
“I am down by four shots right now. I think it’s still possible to make a difference. It all depends on how I putt tomorrow. I just want to have a good rest today and hopefully I can finish well tomorrow,” added the 34-year-old, who has enjoyed four top-five finishes on the Asian Tour so far this season.
Fellow Filipino Rey Pagunsan returned with a 69 to take a share of 24th place while Anthony Fernando and Charles Hong shared 31st place after rounds of 72 and 75 respectively.
