Both players emerged as the leading local finishers on eight-under-par 280, seven shots behind winner Natipong Srithong in the US$1 million Asian Tour tournament, the richest in the country.
Que signed off with an even-par 72, ruing a cold putter while Tabuena, the local Order of Merit champion, produced a 70 to earn US$10,935 each.
“I missed a lot of putts today. Didn’t help that I wasn’t hitting it as good as yesterday. The wind was blowing kind of hard and it was coming from a different direction. Still no excuses though. I wanted to finish under par but unfortunately I didn’t. I was two over at one point and got it back to even. I guess I’m happy,” said Que, who is a three-time Asian Tour winner.
He will head back to Japan next week before completing his 2015 campaign with the remainder of Asian Tour events in Vietnam, Thailand and at home, for the Philippine Open in December.
“I have to keep on going, need to putt better the next few weeks,” Que said. “As of now, my confidence is not that high. I’ve got to be honest that the whole year has been rather non-stop for me. I hope to plan my schedule better next year.”
Tabuena was disappointed he did not make a better impact at the Resorts World Manila Masters, which was celebrating its third edition at Manila Southwoods.
“I played well although I think I could have done better. I had wanted to perform better for the fans out here. I played great actually but I made two mistakes which I shouldn’t have. My two bogeys were from the centre of the fairways and I was holding a wedge,” he said.

“If I can take these away, it would have been a four-under round and I will be higher up there, maybe an easy top-10. Nevertheless, I’m still happy with where I am right now. This is probably my best finish in this tournament.”
