Prom Meesawat (Tha) – Third Round 65 (-6), Total 200 (-13)
Again, five birdies in a row. It’s a good turning point, birdies on nine and 10 which are not easy holes to birdie. Another special one was on 12. I hit it into the bunker and I thought if I can walk away with par, I’ll be happy as I had a tough second shot. I just hit it beautifully to two feet, hit a six iron from 175 yards. That was the best shot of the day.
When you have a couple of shots lead, you play the last day, it’s a good position. I’ll just concentrate on my game, focus on my game which has been what I’ve been doing for three rounds.

It’ll be between me and the golf course. On this course, you have to fight the golf course, can’t fight other players. Just try to put it on the fairway to have a chance. As I’ve said, the fewer mistakes you make, you have a chance to win.
This week, I feel more relaxed, playing at home, having my family here. It’s very relaxing. We’ve been enjoying ourselves at the pool, taking care of my daughter. Wake up in the morning and chilling at the pool, which has been good for me
If you can win the royal trophy, it will be an honour for you and your family. Any event you win at home will always be special. You have to hit it good, I think I’ve made just two bogeys this week, which is the key around here. Fewer mistakes for the week, it helps you.
Jeunghun Wang (Kor) – Third round 62 (-9), Total 203 (-10)
That must have felt nice?
I didn’t think about 62 but I had a great putting day. Made some great iron shots. Seven birdies and two eagles, so it’s really a fantastic day.
It didn’t look that like a good start?
I was like angry after five holes, just hit it, hit it, but eagle on six was a big turning point for me. Hit a great putt on seven and another good shot on eight. The eagle made me feel much better, after that eagle, I could smile and I made a few more birdies after that. I just enjoyed playing after that and then eagled the last hole as well.
Tell us about the eagle on six?

I had 220 yards and I hit a three iron. Just tried to land it on the green as it was a long shot but it ended two feet to the pin. Some of my wedge shots were really good, hit about five wedges close. Hit good putts on 15 an d17. On 18, I had 188 yards to the green and hit a six iron to 10 feet.
Two wins last month and  now leading, confidence must be high?
I have a lot of confidence right now. If I can keep hitting iron shots like this, I think I can have another good store tomorrow.
Is this your lowest ever round?
I shot 12 under when I was a junior golfer and this is probably my lowest round as a professional. I saw in the clubhouse pro shop that Lee Sung had shot 62 as well back in 2007.
You must be looking forward to tomorrow?
I’ll try to enjoy tomorrow’s final round, just like I did today. Maybe I’ll get another good score tomorrow. I don’t want to think about winning at all.
Scott Hend (Aus) – Third round 64 (-7), Total 202 (-11)
It was good. The front nine is not very kind to me, so I just do what I can to try to make pars and see what happens on the back nine. You can get a lot of wedges into the green if you hit good drives, and make some putts.
The key is to get to the first cut, if not fairway. It’s just about being patient especially on the front nine. The added pressure tomorrow for the boys on the back nine will be fun. I made a couple of good par putts, after yesterday, I got to eight under and had a poor finish. It was nice to place it all together.
This course doesn’t suit me at all. I just play total opposite golf than what I want to play. My strength is my drive and it’s not something that I can do around here. Just a couple of holes I want to hit it but I can’t and I don’t. If I hit it, I’ll make an easy birdie and if I don’t I’ll make an easy triple. It’s kind of frustrating but that’s just the style of golf course.
To be honest, it’ll be nice to win but I have bigger goals than just winning this week. I’m just plodding along and trying to achieve my goals. If a win is involved in achieving those goals, so be it. There are many things on my radar at the moment and I’m just doing what I’m doing to achieve them.

It feels alright except when I see Wang’s score, I asked myself ‘did I shoot over par.”
Pretty good today, slow start with two bogeys and I tried to get back and catch up and I’m happy that I got it back. Today, it’s a very weird day for Samui, no wind and soft conditions. It doesn’t play this easy in Samui.
If it doesn’t rain tonight and tomorrow the winds pick up, it’ll be totally different conditions. I’ll be okay with either. I’m very comfortable on this golf course.
Just try to stay calm on this course, just let the putting do the work. Get the ball to the green and let the putter do the work. I miss the greens on one and three and didn’t get it up and down.
My putting has been working well, haven’t hit it too well but I’ve got it back on the greens. Made quite a few birdies today which was all due to the putting. I just have to try to hole everything that I see tomorrow and try to not miss a shot off the tee. I’ve been playing here since 15 and every year I come back, I know the course better. I know what to expect out here.
Paul Peterson (USA) – Third round 68 (-3), Total 203 (-10)
It felt good. Really happy how I’m ball-striking it and I’m starting to see the lines on the greens. Trusting my reads and managed to put a nice stretch on the back nine. Hit a couple in the rough but never caught a flier and caught one on 14 which was unfortunate (for bogey).
Prom had it going there for a while and I was just trying to not let the Dolphin swim away from me. If I can put together a good round tomorrow, I’ll be right in it. Sundays are a different animal and we’ll see how these guys fare and I’ll do my best to stick it in there with them.
Hendy is playing well and Wang obviously playing unbelievable. Just feel great with where my game is at and hopefully I’ll put it all together. You can definitely get it going on the back nine, so patience on the front nine and try to have an explosive back nine. That’s going to be the ticket.
