Manila, October 31: A power-packed line-up with no fewer than 30 Asian Tour winners will feature in the US$1 million Resorts World Manila Masters which gets underway from November 19 to 22.
Title holder Mardan Mamat of Singapore will lead the elite cast alongside local hotshots Angelo Que, Antonio Lascuna and young prospect Miguel Tabuena at the Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club.
Fourteen players from the top-20 of the current Asian Tour’s Order of Merit, including India’s S.S.P. Chawrasia, Richard T. Lee of Canada and Malaysia’s Danny Chia, will also headline the Resorts World Manila Masters, which is returning for its third edition as the richest golf tournament in the Philippines.
“This year’s tournament is especially exciting because of all the top names who signed up to better their position in the rankings and take a crack at the US$1 million prize pot as well,” says Resorts World Manila Chief Operating Officer Stephen Reilly.

Another Thai star Prom Meesawat, who finished second and third respectively in the last two editions of the tournament, is determined to make it third time lucky and secure a third Asian Tour win when he heads to the Philippines.
“It’ll be good to go back to Manila Southwoods for the Resorts World Manila Masters. It’s always good to go back to a golf course where you’ve done well before. I like the greens there and I feel really comfortable playing on that course,” said the 31-year-old Thai.
