I got off to a good start. The momentum was there and I kept it there. I’ve been hitting the ball good all week. It was just a matter of taking advantage of it which I did today. It was nice to keep my round going and birdie on the last hole.
In the practice round, I was lucky enough to miss a few fairways so I knew what to do when I was in the rough. This week I’ve only missed four fairways and when I missed it the ball has been on the first cut. It is a massive advantage if you strike the ball good.
I noticed my name on the leaderboard a few times today and it kind of spurred me on. Hopefully I can go out there and play well again.
At the start, I found it tough playing on these grasses. The experience on the Asian Tour has been awesome.  I got into contention in a few tournaments but haven’t played well enough on the weekend. It is nice to finally feel comfortable in Asia and try to keep my card for next year.
It was definitely on my mind (saving his Tour card) but my game is there and I’m feeling confident. So I don’t see any reason why I can’t keep my card.
I done an apprenticeship straight out of school as a greenskeeper at Riverside Golf Club in Tasmania and did that for three years. I always wanted to be a professional golfer so I worked hard at it and here I am.
