Rising ASEAN stars announced for #MaybankChampionship

Kuala Lumpur, January 29: George Gandranata of Indonesia, Koh Dengshan of Singapore, Michael Tran of Vietnam and Zaw Zaw Latt of Myanmar will tee it up at the US$3 million Maybank Championship Malaysia next month.
They will join the event sanctioned by the Asian Tour and European Tour alongside Louis Oosthuizen, Martin Kaymer, Danny Willett, Kiradech Aphibarnrat and Thongchai Jaidee.
The tournament also announced the participation of Thriston Lawrence from the Middle East North African Tour (MENA) and newly turned professional, Low Khai Jei of Malaysia at the inaugural golf tournament which will be staged at the Royal Selangor Golf Club (RSGC) from February 18 to 21.
“With today’s announcement, another component of the player field make up for the Maybank Championship Malaysia, falls into place. The tournament is one of the richest co-sanctioned tournaments in the ASEAN region and is an exciting opportunity and valuable platform for both established champions and rising stars to make their mark,” said Tan Sri Dato’ Megat Zaharuddin Megat Mohd Nor, Chairman of Maybank.
