The back’s good. I flew back to Orlando, had some treatment and did an MRI and there’s nothing wrong with it. Probably just a muscular problem that week in Hong Kong. It feels good. Played pretty good last week, finished 17th I think. It was a tough golf course and a good challenge. It was good to get a good decent position finish. You kind of feel things are starting to come around and build on it. It’s a little more conventional this week and it’s a golf course that I like. It’s got its own challenges, the greens are pretty small but the course is in good shape. I’m looking forward to seeing what I can do. I feel my irons and putting are good and my driver is pretty good. The only issue I’m having right now is my three wood and my hybrid which is kind of key around here. Those are the only clubs that are letting me down. Those are the clubs I use to put the ball on the fairway on holes that have danger. Those are the clubs that are getting me into trouble, getting into out of bounds and into water hazards. So I’ve got two days to fix it. It’s like I’m missing my second serve in tennis. It’s a confidence thing. I’ll work at it and try to tweak something and figure it out.
I always look at the OOM. I know where I am but at the same time, I was better off than I was last year. You’ve got to play well. I was surprised I finished 17th and stayed the same. It shows that you have to play well. You can go out there and make the cut. That’s not going to get it done. You need top-10s and be in position to win golf tournaments. Years prior, I was locking my card in two or three events. I have four more events to play and hopefully I can get it down in those.

This is actually the first time I have been back in the Philippines since I won last year. It’s great to be back in this country, reminds me of some good memories from my win. I have played this tournament in 2013 but I skipped it last year. It is exciting to come back and play here again. The course looks great and it seems like it’s in better conditions than two years ago when I played here.
We played a really tough course in Singapore last week. The scores showed some kind of promise but it’s still not quite there yet. It was just brutal last week. The game is getting there so it’s not as bad as the scores suggested. I think it’s moving in the right direction. I’ve left myself quite a lot of things to do in the last few weeks of the year. Every week is an opportunity for me to play well so I will continue to work on that.
It was a good week in Singapore although I was in the last group from the wrong side. I hope to get some momentum coming in to this week. The season hasn’t been great actually. It has been good in patches over the year. I had to do quite a bit of work over the last few months. I have been working very hard. There is still something to play for I believe.
I was practically working on every aspects of my game. I haven’t been driving the ball well. That has been the main issue for the last few months. But during the second round last week, I actually hit all the fairways for the first time in ages. That boosted my confidence a bit.
You need to have a good strategy to play well here. You can’t just hit your driver off in every hole. The course is in fantastic condition. I am sure all the guys are excited to be back again this year.

I am actually feeling tired after playing in Singapore last week. It was really tough but I am happy with how I finished, given the challenging conditions. I hope to stick to my own tempo this week and continue what I have been doing. The ball positions will be the key to score well this week. You can’t be too aggressive on this course. You need to know where to place your ball on this course. I think I should do fine if I can stick to my game and just focus shot by shot.
My main aim right now is to break into top-60 on the Order of Merit and keep my card for next year. There are still a couple of big events left for this season so I will try my best. If I can get it into top-40, I should be safe.
This course is much easier to walk compared to last week’s. When I led in Hong Kong, the course was pretty easy to walk too so I am not too worried if my fitness can hold up this week. I hope to play better than I used to but I know I have to take it one step at a time. I am training on my fitness right now and it has improved a lot. I know it takes time so I won’t be pushing myself too much as well.

The game is good. It has been good since I won two weeks ago and I am high in confidence as well. It was a tough week last week but I felt like I have played well. I am pretty happy with my game right now and I am looking forward to the week.
I played decent here last year. This is my second time here and I really enjoy playing on this golf course. It’s a different feeling coming here. Last year, I was trying to break into top-60 with a good result here but this time round, I came here with a victory secured. That took some pressure off my back actually and I’m more confident compared to last year.
I don’t have to worry about keeping my card now and I can just go out there and focus on my game. This is not a very long golf course. It’s challenging and the rough is up. It will be tricky to hole putts.

The game is good. I have played well here the last two times and I was in the lead in the first time as well. The course is looking good. The greens are rolling pure as well. Accuracy will be the key this week. My accuracy has always been good so hopefully I can try and score. You just need to sink some good putts out there.
I am always aiming to win. I have come close a few times. I know I can do it. I will keep trying. That has always been at the back of my mind. Also, I am trying to qualify for the Olympic Games next year as well. These are my main targets right now. I am working on my game and I have been practicing hard.
I think I just need a little bit more luck. I just need a good week. I hope the win can come soon. The game is good at the moment.
