Manila, November 13: Read what leading finishers have to say upon the conclusion of their rounds at this week's Resorts World Manila Masters on Sunday.
S.S.P. Chawrasia (Ind) – Final Round 66 (-6), Total 269 (-19) – Winner
I am very happy. This is my first win outside of India. It means a great deal for me. I am very excited. Everyone has been telling me I have won a lot of times in India and it’s about time to win outside of India. I am glad I did it this week. I know every shot is crucial when you are in a play-off. I just tried to calm myself down out there.
I am glad I managed to hit the green in two shots twice in the playoff. My approach shots were very good today. It has been a great week. I am looking forward to getting a week's rest back home next before flying to Melbourne for the World Cup of Golf. The game's been good and the season's been nothing short of great too, havin won my home open earlier this year.
This win will give me a boost in confidence and shape my game up nicely for the World Cup of Golf in two weeks' time.

Sam Chien (Usa) – Final round 65 (-7), Total 269 (-19)
It has been an absolutely fun week. I wasn’t in a struggling mode. I found something on the range and I just played well. The game’s been the same like yesterday and the day before. I just felt like I am so much in the process and I just played the way I wanted to on the front nine.
The greens are soft enough and I just felt like going for the pins. I wasn’t playing defensive. I was a little bit aggressive I think.
I was pretty nervous on the last, especially that four-footer. I just knew I didn’t want to make a bogey there. It was quite a scary mode for me. I am glad I holed out to get into the play-off.
It has been a tough year for me. It will be a dream come true if I can win today. I was just trying to keep my card this week. This is just an unbelievable week for me.
Chawrasia played some great golf in the playoff. I was just trying to be aggressive but maybe I was a little bit too aggressive. I played well on the first extra hole but the second time I just got away from it. There are a lot of positives to take from this week for sure. It’s mission accomplished from locking up my card for next season. That was a huge relieve. It’s nice to cap a good result heading into the end of the season.
It’s my first time playing on this course. I am happy with the way I played this week.

I didn’t expect myself to finish the round with five straight birdies in a row. I was only at three-under at the turn. So it was really unbelievable when I start to sink in those birdies from the 14th hole. I had several near misses this year and that could be down to me being nervous when I was leading. I started the day so far down the leaderboard and I was telling myself there’s nothing to lose. And I should just go out and enjoy myself. That’s why I did so well today. Two of my good friends, Chan Shih-chang and Pavit have already progressed from being ADT winners to winners on the Asian Tour. Their victories have really motivated me.
Chiragh Kumar (Ind), Fourth round 64 (-8), Total 270 (-18)
I just played really solid today. I putted really well and the highlight was finishing off the round with two birdies. I had a target of 17-under and I knew I was playing well. So I just kept doing what I was doing and it was nice to finish the way I did. The greens were pretty soft today as it rained last night. I think I’ve kept my card for now and it’s a big relief going into the last three events on the Asian Tour. I can just go out there and play with that big pressure taken off my shoulder.
Shubhankar Sharma (Ind), Fourth round 62 (-10), Total 270 (-18)
Today’s round was absolutely different as compared to the whole year. I haven’t played this well on the Asian Tour this year. I played well on the domestic tour back home in India but just cannot get the same kind of confidence on the Asian Tour. But today, I told myself that I have to play well as I need to keep for card for next year. I told myself if I could get an eight-under-par, I could finish inside the top-10 and I got a good round. The eagle on 18 was more satisfying as my target for the day was eight-under-par. I had already achieved that. I was thinking when I was on the 16 tee what do I do now. I have to keep hitting fairways and greens. I did all of that and it was really satisfying.
Michael Tran (Vie) – Fourth round 67 (-5), Total 271 (-17)
It is my best result so far this season. It’s been a great week. The course is in a great shape. I got here early and prepared as much as I could. It was a very good week. I have been practising a lot. I expected a good result here. You kind of get excited when you see the results coming in. I didn’t expect the scores to be that low this week though. I have to more events to go before finishing the season. I hope to keep up my form.

I hit the ball so well today, especially from tee to green and hitting 18 greens in regulation. I made several big putts but I still left like four great opportunities on the course. I was unlucky at the last when I didn’t birdie the last. It was still a good round. After making those four birdies at the start, I knew I could go really low today. I hit a good shot on eight and 18 but just couldn’t convert. I can’t complain with the way I played today. I’ve been playing in Europe for most part of the season this year and I had quite a tough time over there. It’s good to be back here in Asia and playing well again. I feel I didn’t play that bad but it was still not good enough to match up against the Europeans. The conditions over there are not easy. I feel much more comfortable when I play over here especially the golf conditions. My finish this week has brought back lots of confidence and mentally I’m stronger. I’m just waiting for a good week.
Danthai Boonma (Tha), Fourth round 63 (-9), Total 272 (-16)
It’s amazing. To sign off with a 63 on the final day is really amazing. The conditions today were really ideal for scoring too. There was not much wind and that really made things a lot easier for me. I took advantage of my birdie chances and I’m really happy I managed to get nine birdies. No bogeys were also very good.
Jay Bayron (Phi), Fourth round 64 (-8), Total 273 (-15)
I putted really well today. Managed to save par on 14 which was really difficult. I managed to chip onto the greens from about 20 yards. That eagle on 15 followed by another two birdies really made my day. This is the best I’ve played at Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club. It helped that the weather was ideal this afternoon. A top-10 finish was my goal this week
