MITHUN PERERA (SLK) – THIRD ROUND -13 through eight holes.
I’m now tied for the lead but I’ve got to play good. It’s a good thing they suspended play as it was cold out there. Hopefully I can have a good start tomorrow early morning to keep going. I’m prepared to play 27 holes. I’m used to it, playing two rounds a day. It won’t matter. I only need a good start to keep going.
Had a good start today, every hole, I hit driver as my tee shots were so good. Made a few birdies with some good iron shots but missed a few putts too. Doesn’t matter I’m not in the same group as Rashid. I’ve just got to play good to win it. Every one is playing well. I’m going to go out there to play my normal game and keep to my same routine.
It will be important to keep staying on the fairways. If I can do that, I can do something tomorrow. I always want to finish high every time, and I’m waiting to have a title on the Asian Tour. Hopefully, it will be tomorrow. It’s exciting but the key is to keep under par.
RASHID KHAN (IND) – THIRD ROUND – 13 through seven holes.
It’s going to be a big day tomorrow for me. I’ll have 28 holes to play, we’ll see what happens. I’m on the eighth green when we were called off. I think the rain came at the right time. I was one over for the round. The day wasn’t going the way I wanted to. Let’s see what happens tomorrow. A lot of holes to play tomorrow. I’m hoping for a good day.
Tomorrow will be a different day. Today, I started really bad. Didn’t make any birdie. I will need to aim to start with a birdie tomorrow, need a round tomorrow. I’m feeling good. Feel the same. It will be a big day for me, I’m pretty close to winning a first Asian Tour tournament. If I won, I’d be really happy.
SIDDIKUR RAHMAN (BAN) – THIRD ROUND -12 through seven holes.
It’s going to be a long day for all players. You have to be fit and be prepared for 28 holes. I’m looking forward to it. I think it’ll be okay because of the weather. I’m feeling confident about tomorrow. Hope to enjoy the day.
I’ve not seen these sort of thunderstorms in India for a long time, it is like in Malaysia and Dhaka.
ANIRBAN LAHIRI – THIRD ROUND -12 through eight holes. (Has short putt for bogey on nine)
I am lying for bogey on nine, missed a small putt for par. I was waiting for the siren to go but things like this happen. I’m happy to come back tomorrow to restart. 27 holes, I’m two back right now, I’m in a good spot. I would have taken this.
I’m more comfortable. Going into tomorrow, it will be important to conserve mental energy as you have to focus so hard around here.  I’ve got to stay relaxed and play. I’m glad I’m playing with Mithun as we are great friends. We are joking and kidding around, it’s a very relaxed atmosphere out there on the course. It’ll be good for the two of us.
I don’t think it’ll be a big deal for Rashid and Mithun. Rashid has won prolifically in India and this is his home course. He came close last year and lost in a play-off. I don’t think he’ll be nervous. As for Mithun, everything he touches now seems to turn to gold. He’s won the last three events in India. He’s on a juggernaught right now. The challenge will be on Siddikur and I to pressure Mithun and Rashid. If we can do that, I’ll be interesting.
