September 21: Bangladeshi star Siddikur Rahman faces a lengthy lay-off due to pain in the lumbar vertebrae (L 4- L5) (lower back) according to reports from the Daily Star.
The two-time Asian Tour winner withdrew from the Omega European Masters and missed the Yeangder Tournament Players Championship in Chinese Taipei and Worldwide Holdings Selangor Masters in Malaysia due to the injury.
He is expected to miss more Asian Tour events but is currently undergoing physiotherapy treatment in his hometown in Dhaka.
“I'll be out of action for at least another one and a half months which means I will be missing quite a few events due to the persistent back pain,” Siddikur said to the Daily Star.
“Doctors have suggested for me to take complete rest and undergo regular physiotherapy rather than prescribing any medication.”
