Tommy Fleetwood (Eng) - Second Round 69 (-3), Total 140 (-4)
My game felt good to be honest. Compared to yesterday where I had to scrap and shoot a one-under was unbelievable. Today I seemed to wake up and turned up with a good golf swing. I played really well and had only about three or four bad shots. That’s what you need to do on a course with windy conditions like this.
It is a pleasure to play on this course. Once you miss the fairways it is like a one shot penalty so when you play well it is very satisfying. With the names playing this week, it is really nice to see my name on top the leaderboard.

I played well again. It is tricky out there. The wind was blowing a bit stronger than yesterday. All in all it was a good round and three-under will put me in a good position for the weekend. The course is playing very difficult compared to previous years. The rough is brutal. You won’t see me on the range. I will relax and have some lunch by the pool.
Thongchai Jaidee (Tha) – Second Round 71 (-1), Total 143 (-1)
Started front nine very well and then the wind started picking up on a couple holes today. I think the course is playing difficult. I mean the rough is very thick and the green is very firm, that's why you can see the score is very high. If one guy play three-under it is a very good round. I expect that three-under will be a very, very good score today. If you went in the rough, the ball is dead. It is very difficult today.
When you play under-par you’re in good position. On the eighth hole I double bogeyed. It was very tough on hole eight today. You see today the wind is picking up and it is going to be very hard for them in the afternoon.
For me I played many times in St. Andrews, for me I automatically get in already, I think its St. Andrews is the best- for me you know it is a great memory for me. I play many times at St. Andrews because we play the Dunhill Links out there every year, and so we know the course quite well. On the course you have to learn a lot of wind direction and the green is very big, you can get on the green very easy, but you have to know what place you have to be.
For me the links course is not my favorite course, but you know I like to play everywhere. And I think I miss the cut last time because we had really bad weather and we had the wrong side of the draw.  You know you have to have the right side of the draw otherwise it will help you maybe one or two shot.
Martin Kaymer (Ger) - Second Round 72 (E), Total 143 (-1)
The course conditions were very difficult especially in the afternoon. When we had a wedge in our hands, it was tough to go for the flags because the greens are super firm. I hope they are going to put some water on it to loosen them. So therefore it was a good challenge. It was very tough to play and the main thing was to hit the fairways. Otherwise you don’t have any chance to get any spin on your ball on those firm greens. To shoot level par today was a good score.

It was tough out there. I didn’t hit it very well. I was wayward off the tees and hacked out quite a few times. I’m happy with my score, it could have been a lot worst. It feels like I’m playing on a brand new golf course.
We’ve been playing here for so many years and every year we have someone shooting a 65 or a 66 every day. Right now, if you shoot a 70, it feels like you shot a 59! It is really hard especially in the afternoon.
It is not easy because the smallest of mistakes get magnified. If you miss the fairway then it is over. You can’t hit it more than 40 yards when you find the rough. You have to take your opportunities and try to do damage control.
I birdied 18 on both days (12 foot, day two). I feel very happy about that.
David Lipsky (Usa) – Second Round 74 (+2), Total 145 (+1)
I really underperformed. The course was tough and I wasn’t playing well. With those two combined, I obviously didn’t post a good number. I need to regroup and find more fairways and greens during the weekend.
Bubba Watson (USA) – Second Round 70 (-2), Total 146 (+2)
It was a tougher day. It was a lot windier but I made a few putts. I didn’t hit the wayward shots and I holed a few putts. That’s the reason why my score is a lot better because the momentum was the right way. My mental focus was great yesterday but when you play bad golf it doesn’t matter what you do. I missed a couple of putts here and there yesterday so I made a few putts early today and felt confident. If the wind stays up like this, we might see somebody get to 10-under but it is always tough during the weekend so it might be seven or eight-under.
Sergio Garcia (Esp) – Second Round 75 (+3), Total 146 (+3)
The score was very bad but felt like I hit the ball much better than yesterday.
It was tough, difficult conditions, but I just couldn't get anything going. Hit a lot of good putts but nothing went in.
The two shots I missed I made two doubles, so you know, that's the way it is.
[On nearly making a hole-in-one at the eighth] Well we couldn't see it from the tee, obviously it was a similar line as last year. Par would have been a good score so birdie was nice.
