Marcus Fraser (Aus) – Third Round 70 (-2), total 211 (-5)
[On his driving] I drove it really well on the first day as well, only missed one fairway on Thursday and I think I only missed a couple today. You definitely have to stay out of the rough out there, it’s pretty brutal.
[On taking risks tomorrow] Just can’t do that out there. Couple of Pins tucked away. Got to keep ball in play and give yourself a chance on the greens. Luckily I’m a fairly decent putter and hopefully I can give myself some chances 20 or 30 feet. The greens are in such good condition that you can hole some 20 or 30 footers. It’s all set up for a good Sunday.
Wind wasn’t too bad. Dropped off a little here and there at the end. It’s always been quite a factor here.
Only a one-shot lead at the moment, which is almost irrelevant with the caliber of players that are on the leader board – Westwood and Kaymer and these guys. World-class players and it’s just nice to be up there with them.
I’m excited to be in this position. Feel like I’ve played really well today – I feel like I have played really well for three days – so hopefully I can go out and do the same tomorrow and give myself plenty of chances. ?

Anirban Lahiri (Ind) – Third Round 68 (-4), Total 212 (-4)
I started out pretty good on the front nine. I made a lot of birdies and chipped and putted good. I’m just a little disappointed to throw it away because I didn’t finish well. I’m happy to put myself in position.
Starting on Thursday, this is exactly what I wanted to do. I just need to go out tomorrow and play like what I did today but with more confidence and be a little bit more aggressive.
It was a learning experience for me last year (playing in the last group). I didn’t come close to playing my best golf. Once I go out there tomorrow I need to focus a little bit more on what I need to do instead of looking at how everyone else around me is playing.
It was good to have that experience. It won’t feel like a new experience for me. I will feel more comfortable and the last 12 months that has passed since that round, I’ve done a lot of good things and played much better golf. I think I’ve grown in those 12 months. Come tomorrow, it will be an improved Anirban.
I think it is fantastic to have an event like this where you have the opportunity to qualify for The Open. If you wanted to play in The Open Qualifying Series before, you have to be a world ranked golfer to play in it. But now it gives any player an opportunity to try and qualify for a Major. I think it is fantastic.
It will depend on how they set up the 12th hole. With where the pins were positioned, it made no sense to lay it up. If it is the right play tactically, I will definitely go for it.
It is everyone kids dream to play the Holy Grail at the Holy Grail. I have 18 holes left and I really need to focus and play well.
Lee Westwood (Eng) – Third Round 72 (E), Total 213 (-3)
I was disappointed not to take advantage of the par fives. I hit good drives on all the par fives but didn’t make birdies. That’s the reason why I shot even-par. I made a couple of bogeys when I missed fairways and you expect that because the rough is long. All in all I played pretty solid. I still have a chance tomorrow. I just need to play better on the par fives.
Lee Westwood of England Lee Westwood of England
Martin Kaymer (Ger) – Third Round 70 (-2), Total 213 (-3)
It was a tough day and to shoot two-under-par is a good score. I played really good golf and made some good golf. I had a couple of dropped shots and that was painful but I think I put myself in a good position. It was good to put a little bit more fun on the golf course. Today was quite interesting to play. I think in order to win, you need a little bit of help. I would rather be two or one shot back. It is very important to take care of the six and seven holes because you can score there. You need to take advantage of the par fives and that’s very important. If the putter is warm enough then I might have a chance.
Jonathan Moore (Usa) – Third Round 72 (E), Total 214 (-2)
We found out that my wife is expecting a little girl just before we came. I’m super excited to be a dad. I’ve been trying to play as much as I can on the satellite Tours in the United States. I’ve been trying to get better. I’m trying to improve and hopefully I can play better golf next year.
She is four months pregnant and 17 weeks but who’s counting? I asked her every few holes and she said she is fine. Her feet get tired at night so this is probably her last time caddying for me.
I did not know what to expect. I didn’t start playing good golf until three weeks ago. I haven’t been playing a tournament. I’ve just been practising. I’m thankful to be where I am.
Thongchai Jaidee (Tha) – Third Round 74 (+2), Total 217 (+1)
The wind was very strong on my front nine and it is very difficult to play in the wind here. I had a good fight back on the back nine. I holed a few long putts for birdie. Two-over par is a good score for me.
I didn’t hit a single green on the front nine. I’m happy with how I fought back. This is a tough golf course so a seven or eight-under will win the tournament. Anything can happen here if the wind continues to blow. The last few holes are very challenging so will give it my best. It will be nice if I can finish inside the top-five.

I played badly. The conditions were not tough but I didn’t take advantage of the easy holes and hit one bad shot on the 17th hole. Other than that, I played okay. It was definitely the most ideal scoring day and I didn’t take advantage of it when I could. I got to play my own game. I can’t control what Anirban does. I just have to go out there and play solid, that’s all I can control.
Sergio Garcia (Esp) – Third Round 71 (-1), Total 217 (+1)
It’s really unfortunate as I feel like I’m not getting anything out of my game at the moment. I felt that I played quite nicely on the first day but I don’t know if it’s the end of the year where I’m mentally not sharp enough.  I feel that I’m easily leaving at least three or four shots behind. And under these conditions, you cannot do that. Other than those three straight birdies from 10, I pretty much was not able to make many of them (birdie putts) and a couple of par putts which I was not able to make either. That’s the way it is, I guess. I’ll have to see how the leaders fare as there are a couple of tough holes coming in. The way the course in playing, I’ve to shoot probably around the mid-60s to give myself a chance. I feel I can do it if I can make those putts and get a couple of nice breaks. The game feels like it’s good enough but it’s quite difficult to so it under these conditions.
Bubba Watson (Usa) – Third Round 77 (+5), Total 223 (+7)
They moved the tees up a lot and the course is still in the same condition. There are stronger winds today but it’s still a tough golf course. Obviously for me, it’s really tough and it’s showing. I didn’t play very good. It was like the first day. I made a few mistakes, one bad swing today, bad club selection on 17, bad swing on nine that cost me two double bogeys. But if you take away those double-bogeys, one-over is not too bad but obviously there’s a lot of guys playing good.
