Hua Hin, Thailand, January 16: Thitiphun Chuayprakong of Thailand insists that he is excited ahead of the challenging week where he needs to finish inside the top-60 on the Order of Merit to secure playing rights for the new season.
Ranked 65th on the Order of Merit, Thitiphun talks about his round of 69 and how he prepared for this week’s King’s Cup Golf Hua Hin.

I felt that I was a bit lucky in the round. I had one chip in from seven yards on the fourth hole and holed a long birdie putt (20 footer) on the third hole.
I like playing on this golf course. When I’m not travelling on the Asian Tour, I always come to Hua Hin to practice. I like it here in Hua Hin because it is peaceful and quiet.
I know I need a good result this week and I’m very excited. I’ve practised a lot and I’m ready to play well. Previously I struggled with my short game. A lot of Thai players told me that my chipping is not good! But Thaworn (Wiratchant), Chawalit (Plaphol), Prom (Meesawat) and Pariya (Junhasavasdikul) have helped me to improve in my game.
I didn’t do much during the Christmas and New Year break. I just watched a lot of English superhero movies so that I could improve in my English!
Ends.
