Thongchai continues spell binding run at Volvo World Match Play Championship

May 19: Thailand’s Thongchai Jaidee continued his spell binding run at the Volvo World Match Play Championship by winning 4 & 3 against Scotland’s Scott Jamieson to progress into the semi-finals on Saturday.
Thongchai, a three-time Asian Tour Order of Merit, fired a total of four birdies on his way to victory and will meet South Africa’s Thomas Aiken in the last-four.
The 13-time Asian Tour winner will be riding on a new wave of confidence, having defeated Aiken by one hole in the group stage.
Thongchai  had earlier overcome Sweden’s Peter Hanson in the last-16 marathon match that went to the 21st hole
