Thongchai Faces Garcia Challenge

February 18: Thongchai Jaidee’s bid of breaking into the top-50 on the Official World Golf Rankings will continue at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship where he will face-off against Sergio Garcia in the first round starting Wednesday.
Thongchai is currently ranked 55th in the world and will need to win several matches to break into the top-50 in the world. He needs to stay inside the top-50 rankings by early April to qualify for The Masters Tournament in Augusta.
The WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship is the first World Golf Championship event for 2013 and Thongchai will be eager to continue his superb form where has three top-10s on the European Tour this season.
Marcus Fraser of Australia, who finished second on the Asian Tour Order of Merit last season, has Keegan Bradley for company in the first match while Asian Tour honorary member K.J. Choi needs to overcome his first challenger, Justin Rose of England.
