August 26: Three-time Asian Tour Order of Merit winner Thongchai Jaidee of Thailand closed his campaign at the Johnnie Walker Championship with a four-under-par 68 to take a share of 17th place on Sunday.
Thongchai, who holds 13 victories on the region’s premier Tour, compiled a four-day total of 12-under-par 276 to finish four shots back of English champion Tommy Fleetwood, who triumphed on the first hole of a sudden-death play-off with Scotland's Stephen Gallacher and Argentina's Ricardo Gonzalez at Gleneagles.
The decorated Thai heads to Wales for the ISPS Handa Wales Open where he will defend his title this week.
Thongchai, who is bidding for a place in the Presidents Cup International Team, needs another strong performance to break into the top-10 as he is currently ranked 11th in the standings.
Ends.
