Thongchai stays 6 shots back in South Africa

December 7: Thailand's Thongchai Jaidee, who was recently announced as the playing captain for the inaugural EurAsia Cup presented by DRB-HICOM to be staged in Malaysia next year, signed for a second round two-under-par 70 to grab a share of ninth place at the Nedbank Golf Challenge on Friday.
The decorated Thai star, who holds three Asian Tour Order of Merit and 13 victories on the region's premier Tour, traded three birdies against one bogey to post a two-day total of five-under-par 139 at the Gary Player Country Club.
Thongchai is among six players that include England's Luke Donald and opening round leader Sergio Garcia of Spain, who trail Jamie Donaldson of Wales by six shots on a day where players were all moved by the passing of Nelson Mandela.
Compatriot Thaworn Wiratchant meanwhile struggled to a 76 to take a share of 26th place on 147
