Sentosa, Singapore, March 5: Thailand’s Natipong Srithong has capped a deserving maiden season on the Asian Tour by etching his name on the 2015 Roll of Honour by winning the Rookie of the Year award.
The 22-year-old former amateur star turned professional last September after winning the individual and team gold medals at the Southeast Asian Games and enjoyed immediate success in the pro trail with a breakthrough victory at the Resorts World Manila Masters.
The talented Thai, who overcame a four-shot deficit to win the Manila showpiece by one shot, needed only four events as a professional to lift his first Asian Tour title in his rookie season.
Natipong is amongst a host of winners who earned awards for outstanding performances in 2015.
