Wang blog: No fear!

February 8: Korean rising star Wang Jeung-hun never looked like he would qualify for the weekend at the Maybank Malaysian Open after opening with a disappointing 77.
But he sneaked inside the cutline with a battling 66 before going on to add a 67 and 71 to finish tied 14th at the US$3 million event sanctioned by the Asian Tour and European Tour.
In this blog, he talks about feeling nervous in what is his first co-sanctioned event, struggling with a cold putter and his goal for 2015.

This is my first big tournament and it is my first tournament in 2015. I was very nervous and scared in the first round. But after a 77, I was not nervous anymore! My putting was very bad this week so I’m happy with the result.
I was very sad after losing at the Dubai Open. But I forgot about it after one week. It was not easy but I wanted to restart again for the new season.
After Dubai, I just practised every day. There was nothing to do. I worked a lot on my short game but I don’t know why it was so bad this week. I trained in the Philippines because it is winter in Korea. That’s why I was not worried about the heat here.
I made cut this week so I won’t be nervous for the big events in Thailand and India. I’m ready for those events. I hope I can improve on my results from this week.
My goal this year is very simple. I want to win. I want to win one Asian Tour event. I will work hard for it until I finally win.
Ends.
