WCG-HSBC Champions: Saturday- What they said

After 10, I wasn't too disappointed.  But obviously the double on the last hole hurt a little bit.  You know, just blocked a drive off the tee and obviously -- I hit a good bunker shot, too, my pitch shot.  Just miss-read the putt a little bit. But overall, I played really good again today.  6-under, if you would have told me I would shoot 6-under before teeing off today, I'd have taken it.  Obviously left a few shots out there. It sets up well for me and I can hit a lot of drivers and it sets up to my eye and I like it.  I drove it really well again today, other than the last drive on 18.  But besides that, I hit a lot of great shots, hit a lot of good putts, and still got to just come out tomorrow and do the same thing I did today.
Ian Poulter (Eng) Nine-under-par 63, 201 Total
It was good.  It was a nice day.  You know, looking at the board, shooting 6-under on the front nine, I didn't feel like I wouldn't get any closer to Dustin to be honest with you.  He's played unbelievably well on the front nine and guys have shot low today; benign weather conditions, not much wind, soft greens, perfect greens to putt on, you've got to make birdies. Well you know, as well as I played, I felt that other guys were still going to make birdies.  So I felt like I had to keep pressing.  I had to keep going.  Obviously five birdies on the bounce on the front nine, should have birdied the first two, but didn't. But you know, I made one slip-up on 17, birdied the last.  Leaves a little bit of a sour taste in my mouth, knowing I could have taken a couple of chances there in the round of golf but tomorrow is going to be a long day and we'll see what happens.
Thongchai Jaidee (Tha) Third round Four-under-par 68, 212 Total
I drove the ball very well today.  I managed to hit a lot of fairways, except on the ninth. I was trying to go for the greens but it went to the bunker and I made a bogey there. Then on the 13th, I three-putted and made another bogey there. But other than that it was a good round. I’ve to play catch-up tomorrow but it seems like the gap is very wide. Hopefully I can continue to take my chances and it’ll be a better day tomorrow.
Scott Hend (Aus) Third round six-under-par 66, 209 Total
I'm playing great and it’s just a matter of getting the ball into a position where I can hole putts. Yesterday I hit some great shots but the ball landed on the wrong side of the hole. But I kept going and continued to do what I’ve been working hard on. It's just a matter of waiting for the right scoring opportunity.
Rory McIlroy (Nir), Five-under-par 67, 204 Total
The back nine was much better than the way I played the back nine yesterday.  It was good.  I was falling way behind, nine or ten shots off the lead or whatever it was.  I just wanted to finish strongly so at least I can go out and have a chance tomorrow, if I get off to a fast start.       Obviously there's a couple of guys, Poults and G-Mac, between myself and Dustin, who is way out in front.  So try and catch those guys early and then see what I can do from there. I need to get off to a faster start.  The last couple of days, I've sort of been even par through four or five holes, and really need to be 2-or 3-under to give yourself a kick-start because you've got two good chances on 7 and 8 to make birdies there, and you know, you see guys at 4- or 5-under par and then you have some chances on the back nine, as well.  There's definitely a low score out
there.  You just need to take advantage of the holes that you really should be birdieing.
