WGC-HSBC Champions: Sunday-What they said

Dustin Johnson (Usa) Six-under-par 66, 264 total
I stuck to my game plan, and obviously I played really well on the last few holes of the front nine and had a great back nine.  But the
guys, they made it really interesting, and you know, I just played really good coming down the stretch. I knew they were going to come out swinging.  I held them off, and fortunately I played really well coming down the stretch.  The last few holes here, if you play them well, you can make some birdies.  But they are tough holes.  You know, it was a lot of fun out there today.  It was a good match from both of them.  They put a lot of pressure on me, but I'm really proud of myself the way I handled it and the way I finished. Yes, you know, it takes a while to learn that, especially I wish I would have had some a few times a few years ago.  But you learn from your mistakes and you try to get better from them and I think I showed a lot of patience out there and a lot of discipline with different clubs and shot selection.  I played really solid today. Also, I just want to thank HSBC.  I think they did a great job this week.  The tournament's fantastic.

Well, I guess it was a good defense.  Obviously a little disappointed not to put my hands back on the trophy, but 15 birdies and an eagle at the weekend is some pretty good golf.  So it's exciting for the next few weeks ahead, and obviously it's some good points on the board obviously for Ryder Cup and Race to Dubai.  So been a good week. Yeah, it was nice, we all shot 66 today.  Everybody's made birdies and it made it interesting.  Obviously Dustin, going birdie, eagle there at 15, 16, kind of finished the job.  It was good golf and it was good fun to play in that group.  Obviously plenty of birdies. I'm in great form.  I really am playing well.  The work I've done, obviously leading up to this run of tournaments has really worked and I couldn't be hitting it any better right now and obviously rolling a few putts in.
Graeme McDowell (Nir) Six-under-par 66, 268 Total
Yeah, you know, obviously a pang of disappointment, but generally just very proud of myself the way I played this week tee-to-green, especially.  On the greens, room for improvement. I didn't make a bogey all weekend.  I shot 14-under on the weekend.  Hit the ball really quality.  Chasing some great players.  Dustin Johnson was in a different league off the tee and gave us a little bit of a sniff and then promptly slammed the door, so a lot of fun, really enjoyed it
Rory McIlroy (Nir) Three-under-par 69, 273 Total
Yeah, it was a good week.  It was a step in the right direction for sure.  I don't think anyone could have competed with Dustin this week.  He played very, very well and obviously is a deserved champion.  You know, I just didn't make enough birdies.  I didn't take advantage of the par 5s today and some of the short par 4s. So yeah, I mean, it's probably one of my only bogey-free rounds of the year but it just didn't contain enough birdies. A couple of Top-10s, a couple of WGCs.  I had a good last round at Doral this year, and to finish T-6 I think I'm going to be here, it's not too bad.  It's something to build on and nice to go into an off-week now and I know that I'm into Dubai.  It would have been nice to try to get a win.  I have three more tournaments left this year and I want to try to finish the season strongly.
