Cameron Smith (Aus) – Third Round 71 (even par), Total 205 (-8)
I played pretty good but it was a disappointing finish when I bogeyed three out of the last four holes but that’s golf. It was pretty tough out there and I didn’t putt that well.
I hit a good shot on 15 but I three putted. That was frustrating. I hit bad shots on 16 and 18 so no one to blame except myself. I’m going to relax and do some putting in my room.
I’ve been in this position in a couple of times now. Hopefully I can get here and close the deal. I need to stay patient and stick to my game plan. With a bit of luck, hopefully I can win.
It is not easy to stay patient with the heat and how challenging the course is. I just need to stick to the plan, find fairways and hopefully make putts!

I’m very hungry for a win. I didn’t get off to a good start but I kept reminding myself to calm down. On this course, you can shoot a seven-under on one day but you can go to five or four-over on the next day. Patience is very important here.
I have no pressure even though I haven’t for a long time. If I can birdie the par fives and return with a four-under or lower, then I think I can win.
After winning with the world record, I still played good but I was overthinking on the green. I struggled with my putting but now it is better. I changed to a new putter last year and now I’m feeling comfortable with it.
Sattaya Supupramai (Tha) – Third Round 68 (-3), Total 206 (-7)
It was tough today. It was very windy when I was on the back nine. I bogeyed 16 and 17 but I made a par from the bunker on the 18th hole. On the 16th hole, I missed my approach shot to the left and on 17 I hit a tree branch with my approach.
I will try to focus only on my game on the final round. I believe in my game and I know my game is good. Last time, I was a very impatient golfer but now I’ve grown up and I’m more patient.
Even though I dropped shots on 16 and 17, I told myself that it is a good bogey and that I needed to move forward from it. I’ve won on the ADT and I’ve gained confidence from there. Playing on the Asian Tour is slightly different because of there are so many good players here but I’ll continue to do what I’ve been doing.
David Lipsky (Usa) – Third Round 69 (-2), Total 207 (-6)
It’s going to be a grind especially with the way the winds are swirling. It’s so tough to make putts on these greens. It’s always tough and you need to get used to it. I wasn’t looking at the scoreboard. I played decently solid and put myself into position for tomorrow. That’s all I can ask for I.

I hit the ball poorly and missed a bunch of greens and needed to get up and down to salvage a good round.
Hung Chien-yao (Tpe) – Third Round 67 (-4), Total 207 (-6)
I feel happy with my score. I feel really relax when I play on this golf course. I keep telling myself that if the ball goes into the hole then great, but if it doesn’t then it is okay. I played here last year and I finished okay. That was my first year.
I have a local caddie this week and he drives me around and takes me to eat the local food. That’s why I like it here! Malaysia is similar to Taiwan. The weather is always humid so I feel at home.
I returned this morning to finish four holes (resume second round). I didn’t play so good but I went to the driving and told myself that it was just a warm-up round. I didn’t find anything in my game that wasn’t working. I just practised like how I normally do.
I started to make a lot of birdies in the third round but I’m upset with the 18th hole. I made bogey on the first day because of a bad drive. Yesterday, I hit my second shot into the water. It was quite a dumb move because I should have played it safe.
Today, I hit my second shot into the bunker and I told my caddie, “Hey, I don’t think I like this hole!” I tried to chip it out of the bunker and my ball landed into the same bunker again, that was when I realised that I really don’t like playing on this hole!
I made up-and-down and bogeyed the hole so it is still okay. Hopefully I can par that hole tomorrow!
Anirban Lahiri (Ind) – Third Round 76 (+5), Total 208 (-5)
I don’t think it was that tough with the playing conditions. However, physically, I was really struggling the whole day. I was cramping up in my stomach as I had an issue with my gut. Every time I started my downswing, I would cramp up in my stomach, especially with my long clubs. Coming down the stretch, I was trying to manage the golf course. I was never in control of my swing physically as I was struggling all the way.
I took some medication before the round but at the seventh, it got too much and I had to go (to the toilet). Every 20 to 30 minutes, I kept getting spasm. I took some medication again during the round but it was tough. But having said all that, I should have done better than I did. I’m really disappointed with how today turned out. I’m still only three back though. At least I’ve still got a chance. I have to play as I did in the first day and try to get into a zone and make as many birdies as I can.
Ends.
