Win a trip to AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open!

Mauritius, March 18: The AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open has launched an online competition that will see a golf enthusiast win a trip to the inaugural tournament, which will be played in Mauritius from May 7 to 10, 2015.
The prize is a fully paid trip to the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, which consists of double return flights to Mauritius, including transfers in Mauritius, an eight-night stay at the Heritage Resorts, on a half-board basis, an opportunity to participate in the tournament’s Pro-Am, together with an invitation to the Pro-Am gala dinner and prize-giving ceremony, as well as entrance into the tournament.
“We are very excited about this competition, as it is not only enabling a golf enthusiast to go to the first ever tri-sanctioned tournament on the Sunshine, European and Asian Tours, but is also giving them an opportunity to participate in the Pro-Am, and interact  with some of the world’s top golfers from the three Tours. We would like to encourage people to participate in numbers, and we wish them the best of luck,” said Ryan Dodds, General Manager at the Heritage Golf Club.
The competition is open to residents of Africa, Europe and Asia. To enter, participants are required to visit the tournament Facebook page:, and follow the instructions on the Competition Post. The competition closes at midnight, 5 April 2015. A draw will be held, and the winner notified accordingly. Terms and conditions will apply.
The AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open is the first ever tri-sanctioned golf tournament endorsed by the Sunshine, European and Asian Tours, all of whom are founding members of the International Federation of PGA Tours. It is expected to draw top performing golfers from each of the three Tours.

  • The tournament will be played at the Heritage Golf Club on Domaine de Bel Ombre, voted one of the Top 10 golf courses in Africa, according to global news broadcaster CNN. The course was designed by Peter Matkovich, who has also presided over the construction of 20 top-ranked golf courses on the continent, such as Arabella Golf Club in South Africa, and Borrowdale Brooke Golf Club in Zimbabwe.

  • This 27-hole facility which includes an 18-hole par-72 championship layout and a nine hole short course, is not only set in the middle of stunning natural scenery and dotted with small lakes and streams, but also possesses exceptional infrastructure and services.
