Thaworn Wiratchant (Tha) – Second Round 67 (-5), Total 136 (-8)
I hit about four greens but I was saved by my chipping and putting. Jonathan (Moore) said he was watching a US$100,000 short game golf clinic.
There hasn’t been any rain lately so the greens are hard. Some players find it hard to play here but I like playing on this course. I won’t say that I have a good chance to win yet because my irons are not where I want it to be.
When you play in Chinese Taipei, you expect the greens to be hard. That’s how it is everywhere in this country. I’m used to it and honestly, I like playing here.
I chipped in for birdie on the 11th hole from 19 yards. I hit my four-iron on the first hole to 210 yards and holed a 10 foot eagle putt. That’s probably the best iron I hit all day.
Chiragh Kumar (Ind) – Second round 69 (-3), Total 137 (-7)
I’m happy. It is tough out there and it wasn’t easy. It was windier so it was tough to control the ball. The greens are quite hard so I’m pretty happy with how I played.
I just played in the first two days and continue my form. It is not an easy golf course. It is a thinking golf course. I made a really long putt on the first hole for birdie and that kept me going. I made a bad chip there and I’m thankful I made that putt.
I’m feeling better than yesterday. I’m going back to rest now. I don’t have any energy to practice.
My ankle is feeling okay (injured his right ankle about a year and a half ago). I’ve been feeling better and I’m able to put in solid practice. Hopefully the pain won’t come back. I’m feeling confident for the next two days.
Hsu Mong-nan (Tpe) – Second Round 68 (-4), Total 137 (-7)
It got really windy towards the last few holes so it’s kind of tough out there. My iron play is good so I’m pretty happy with how I played. I’m beginning to feel the pressure of playing on the Asian Tour now. The players here are really good.
There have been lots of ups and downs this season. Hopefully, I can finish well this week so that I can stay within the top-60 to keep my card for next year.
It’s really different playing on the Asian Tour compared to playing on the Asia

Chan Kim (Usa) – Second Round 68 (-4), Total 138 (-6)
It was good to get make up-and-down on the last four holes. I hit some bad chips on 15 and 17 and made a 15 and 20 footer for par respectively. That was good and it kind of saved my round.
I played alright in the first half of the Asian Tour and missed a few cuts. My game feels really good. I’m hit the ball really good. Overall it was pretty solid.
Tim Stewart (Aus) – Second Round 69 (-3), Total 139 (-5)
I got off to a very good start. I had four birdies in a row. My form is very good. It’s a tough golf course out there and the greens are hard to predict. I managed to turn in two-under but my back nine got a bit tough because it was really windy. I hit a couple of loose shots but I saved quite a lot of pars which were good. I played solid after I had an eagle on the 14th. I’ll just stick the same game plan for tomorrow and the rest is up to the golfing Gods.
