PROM MEESAWAT (THA) – FINAL ROUND 69 (-3), TOTAL 277 (-11)
It’s been so long! The last time I won was in 2006. I’ve been waiting for this moment. I’m feeling great right now. I’ve been working very hard and I’m glad to be back in the winners’ circle again.
This is my first win in a playoff. I missed out in the play-offs at last year’s Hong Kong Open and Resorts World Manila Masters. My mind is blank right now. I am just very happy that I won. I want to dedicate this win to my family.

I tried to keep a clear mind when I went out there for the play-off. I tried not to think about anything. It’s been a difficult day for everyone but I stayed patient. It’s not easy playing on this course. I’m glad I did it. Miguel (Tabuena) is a very good player. I think he has a bright future ahead of him. I hope he gets his win soon.
This is what I’ve been waiting for. I am really glad I made it. Hopefully I won’t have to wait another eight years to win again! I will be aiming for a third win now and try to boost my rankings on the Order of Merit.
I will be taking a week off to rest. It’s been a tiring week as I came here from the Omega European Masters in Switzerland. I didn’t get to play practice round and I had very little sleep. I’m on a flight back home tonight and I have planned to celebrate this win with my family when I reach home.
MIGUEL TABUENA (PHI) – FINAL ROUND 71 (-1), TOTAL 277 (-11)
I want to thank God for keeping me calm out there. I really fought hard out there and gave myself a good chance to win. That’s all I can ask for. In the end Prom turned out to be the better player.
I think this result will help me keep my card for next year! I’m happy I can do that because it was my goal to finish inside the top-60 at the end of the year. I’ve been happy with all my results so far even though I didn’t win today.
I’ve been knocking on the door so I have to stay patient. If I keep playing the way I’ve been playing then the win will eventually come.
I asked the rules official in regulation play if Prom birdied the last hole. I wasn’t nervous because I was playing well. I gave myself a chance to win in regulation but things just didn’t turn out the way I wanted it to be.

I got off to a good start but the birdies dried up on the back. I gave myself opportunities to score but it is so difficult to putt on these greens. I had a lot of chances on the back but I couldn’t score. I’m not sad because I’ve been playing very well lately.
I’m very happy with this result. It adds to my ranking on the Order of Merit. My goal is to qualify for the CIMB Classic. It is a tournament which I really want to play in. I will travel to the Worldwide Holdings Selangor Masters and I must play very well there again. I will not travel to Japan so I need to get another solid result.
PAUL PETERSON (USA) – FINAL ROUND 69 (-3), TOTAL 280 (-8)
It was great to get off to a good start today. I didn’t really take advantages of the par-fives like how I did for the first three days but still happy with how I’ve played today. I putted in the eagle on the first hole from about 35 feet. It has been a fantastic week. It’s so different playing here compared to playing in the states over the last few months. I’m enjoying the season so far. I think I’m in the right direction and it’s a great step that I’ve taken.
I must say this is probably the best year in my golf career so far. I’ve been working a lot with my coaches back home and they really helped me elevate my game. I guess there is still some adaptations to do for me coming to play in Asia. You never know what the weather is going to be like. The greens are different here and you need to keep making adjustments. The standard of play on the Asian Tour is great. There are a lot of great players here. I love it out here.
ANIRBAN LAHIRI (IND) – FINAL ROUND 73 (+1), TOTAL 280 (-8)
It was a mixed week – good and bad. I was nowhere near my A-Game or even my B-Game. I made a lot of mistakes but it is still a good week. I really feel that another win is really close. I just need to keep doing what I’ve been doing and improve my game by several notches.
