Biography

Andrew picked up the sport at the age of four. He lived next to the Gatton Golf Club where he learnt the game thanks to his father’s influence. He is a good friend of Aaron Baddeley, a winner on the US PGA Tour, and idolises Ernie Els for the Big Easy’s fluid golf swing.

Career Highlights

  1. Andrew ended a five-year title drought in 2015 by winning the inaugural True Thailand Classic presented by Black Mountain after defeating home favourite Thongchai Jaidee and countryman Scott Hend by one-shot
  2. Finished third on the Order of Merit after missing only one cut in 10 appearances
  3. He made a superb breakthrough on the Asian Tour in 2010 when he won the inaugural Avantha Masters, co-sanctioned with the European Tour, in India
  4. He defeated England’s Richard Finch by one stroke
  5. He came close to winning his second title on the Asian Tour before settling for second place behind Thaworn Wiratchant at the 2014 King’s Cup in Thailand
  6. He has a solid record as an amateur that includes wins in Australia, Chinese Taipei (Nomura Cup) and Malaysia
  7. He also finished runner-up at the New Zealand Amateur Open in 2006.
