Biography

Introduced to the game by his father at the age of six. Took the game of golf seriously at the age of 12 and won his first title on the Professional Golf Tour of India two years after turning professional. One of the most methodical golfers on Tour.

Career Highlights

  1. Himmat’s best moment in 2015 came at the inaugural Ho Tram Open where he battled hard on the final day before losing in a four-way play-off to Sergio Garcia
  2. Although he did not win, he safely secured his Tour card
  3. Himmat broke through in a big way when he won the ISPS Handa Singapore Classic in style in 2011, prevailing in a five-way play-off that stretched over six holes at Orchid Country Club
  4. He holed a 25-foot birdie to pip Filipino Elmer Salvador.
