Career Highlights

  1. Mardan holds the honour of being Singapore’s first winner on the Asian Tour and is also the first player from his country to win a co-sanctioned tournament with Europe
  2. He is also the first player from the Lion city to qualify and play in the British Open in 1997
  3. Mardan’s maiden triumph in Asia came in 2004when he broke through at the Indian Open after shooting a superb final round 65.But his biggest victory to date came in 2006 when he won the Singapore Masters after leading from start to finish, holding off defending champion Nick Dougherty for an emotional triumph
  4. The Singaporean had to wait for six years before securing his third win at the start of 2012 at the ICTSI Philippine Open where he led from start to finish to win by five shots
  5. He triumphed again in Manila with a wire-to-wire victory at the Resorts World Manila Masters in 2014, ending a poor run of form after good friend Zaw Moe gave him a golf tip
  6. In the follow year, he was victorious at the inaugural Bashundhara Bangladesh Open
  7. In 2010, he picked up his career’s biggest cheque of US$237,500 by finishing fifth at the PGA Tour-sanctioned CIMB Asia Pacific Classic, Malaysia
  8. In 2009, he qualified for his fourth Omega Mission Hills World Cup appearance with Lam Chih Bing after topping the qualifier in Malaysia
  9. In 2005, he qualified for his second British Open at St Andrews but subsequently missed the cut by two
  10. Won the individual title in the Putra Cup as an amateur in 1993, and helped Singapore land the team title
  11. When he turned professional in 1994, Mardan enjoyed a dream start in the play-for-pay ranks
  12. In his debut event, he scored a hole-in-one to claim a luxury car.
