He grew up next to the Ta Shee Golf and Country Club near Taipei where he caddied for a few years during junior high school to earn some extra money. He eventually picked up the game and blossomed into one of the country’s finest amateurs, representing Chinese Taipei at two Asian Games. He also had lessons from the great ‘Mr Lu’ Liang-huan, whose worldly advice was to ‘enjoy golf and not just win, win, win.’ Apart from fishing, Yeh also enjoys mountain trekking.
